This netsuke is so realistic that it even has the sagittal sutures carved into the skull. I noticed that there is a date carved into the top the roof of the skulls mouth that reads 1835. The same date is carved into the back of the head just above the top vertebrae. There is also a signature on the back of the left side of the skull. There is also another date of 1868 inside the top of the skull, ad what looks like to me to be "KK", but I could be mistaken due to not knowing how to read or speak Japanese.

The inside of the top of the skull has a Japanese man having intercourse with a woman. This Mori memento skull has a fantastic patina and would greatly enhance any collection ad be the center focal point for even an advanced collector. The skull measures 41.5 mm in high, 34.1 mm in length and 28.2 in width. This Mori memento skull is carved from a single piece of domestic cow bone. (MENTIONED TO COMPLY WITH EBAYS POLICY).
