This yearbook is a glimpse into the early life of the man who created Walmart, one of the biggest retailers in the world that employs over 2 million people encompassing thousands of stores across the world. Walton, who at one time was the richest man in America, and this offered yearbook reflects the budding leadership traits that would propel him to the greatest business career in history: Walton was elected Student Body President, the starting halfback on the Varsity Football team, a member of the school's undefeated state championship Basketball team, and was a member of the National Honor Society (the Torch Club), the Quill and Scroll (for students with journalistic leanings), the Hi-Y club (Christian Values), and the Franklin Club. Walton's note in the yearbook, inscribed next to his Executive Student President photograph, reads, LeRoy, You're a swell kid and should go a long ways. The book is in overall good condition, with some wear and cracking to the leather cover.
The inside pages are clean, and the binding remains intact, with only minor signs of loosening. The yearbook comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication Services and a JSA COA for the signature. We offer the finest in Sports Memorabilia and autographs.
