Vintage NAVAJO Bear Claw Necklace-High Grade Turquoise, Coral, Malachite-Signed

Offered here is a gorgeous museum quality vintage Navajo hand-made Bear Claw necklace with fabulous High Grade Turquoise, Coral and Malachite stones. All of the silver beads are bench made by the silversmith and each of the coral pieces in the necklace and in the bear claw pieces are hand cut and hand-polished. It is quite rare to see Malachite in these vintage pieces. This vintage necklace and pendant are from my Brother's long time personal collection. This highly unusual and beautiful necklace has very high grade Turquoise, Coral and Malachite.

There is very detailed leaf work. The Turquoise, Coral and Malachite pieces are set in the Shadow Box style setting which gives a lot of depth to this necklace. My Brother and I have been collecting Native American jewelry for over 50 years.

Laid out straight from one end to the other including the closure, it is actually 34 long. The largest Turquoise stone in the lower center pendant measures 1 7/8" Tall x 1 1/4" Wide.

The other 6 Turquoise stones all measure approximately 7/8" Tall x 7/8" Wide. The size of the pendant only is 4 5/8" Tall x 2 5/8" Wide (width of bear claw naja).

Actual bear claws are used in this 1950's necklace. Legally, they can no longer be used in newer Native American jewelry pieces. The heavy duty chain on this necklace is also all hand-made. When this necklace is laid out straight for measurement purposes, it is a total of 34 Long. In black, it is marked??

This is for the type of Turquoise. There is a scalloped stamped circular piece that looks like a flower. It was added as the silversmith's hallmark. In the center of this flower-like piece are initials CM.

They are curved capital letters. The C is touching the left side of the M. I do not know the maker's name on this museum quality piece. This is a necklace for the highly discriminating collector and one we would very much like to go to a loving and appreciative home. Thank you for your interest.
